Accept a Payment

• Accept a Payment – Enter a new check, wire transfer/ach, journal or other that has been received by the office and should be credited to a revenue ore reimbursement account or is a refund associated with an expense account
• Accepted Payments – Search for payments that have been posted (active) or are in the process of being posted (draft)

Reports

• Accounts – Search page for accounts of all types
• Transactions – Search page for all financial transactions. This section is typically used for searching data that has been migrated to Innovate from another system
• Line Items – Search page for individual items in all accounts
• Invoices – Search page for invoices that are properly connected in Innovate.

Legal Expenses

• Approve Technology-Related Legal Bills – Expenses that have been uploaded by a law firm to Innovate that are related to a technology record and the authorization status has not been updated from “new imported data”
• Approve Patent-Related Legal Bills – Expenses that have been uploaded by a law firm to Innovate that are related to a patent record and the authorization status has not been updated from “new imported data”
• Approve Manually Entered Legal Bills – Expenses that have been manually entered into Innovate that are related to a technology or patent record where the expense stage is ” Stage 1: Legal Expense Incurred”
• Pay Attorney/Co-owner Invoices – Expense line items that have been entered into Innovate manually or uploaded by a law firm that are related to a technology or patent record where the expense stage is “Stage 2: Legal Expense Incurred & Approved”, the payment request number and payment request date fields are blank, and the journal number and journal date fields are blank
• Journal Data Entry Page – Expense line items that have been entered into Innovate manually or uploaded by a law firm that are related to a technology or patent record where the expense stage is “Stage 2: Legal Expense Incurred & Approved”, the payment request number and payment request date fields are not blank, and the journal number and journal date fields are blank
• Monthly Expense Reconciliation – Grouped by related law firm and journal number and journal date. Displays all expense line items that have been entered into Innovate manually or uploaded by a law firm that are related to a technology or patent record where the expense stage is “Stage 3: Legal Expense Incurred, Approved & Paid”, the payment request number and payment request date fields are not blank, and the journal number and journal date fields are blank

• Agreement Expense Invoicing – Displays by agreement which licensees need to be invoiced for reimbursement of technology and patent expenses

Revenue

• Financial Compliance Invoicing – Link to the financial compliance report, filtering on active agreements and non-reporting compliance items
